Threadolet is a thread connection pipe fittings that offers 90 degree branch connection for the main pipe. It has the same basic design as weldolet, but the dimensions ranges are different. Pressure is the thickness of threadolet. Generally speaking, 3000# threadolet is used for sch 80 pipes, and 6000# threadolet is for sch 160 pipes.
3000LB Threadolet Dimensions
- There is a ASME B16.11 and MSS SP 97 standard for outlet pipe fittings.
- In both ASME and MSS standard, threadolet is available in class 3000 and class 6000, diameter 1/8” to 4” for the branch.
- The threads is in accordance with ANSI/ASME B1.20.1.

To order threadolets, we need a detailed description to know your requirements. So how to describe a threadolet?
Dimensions
The first important thing is the dimension. It covers the diameter, pressure of outlet fittings. The diameter should cover the run pipe size and the branch size. For example, 1” class 3000 for full size threadolet (branch has the same diameter with run pipe) or 3” x 1” class 3000 for reducing size threadolet (branch size is smaller than the main pipe).
Thread Type
For threadolet, the thread type is also a major element. Using wrong thread will cause the connection to fail. The most common used thread type is NPT, BSP (including BSPP and BSPT).
Material

Design Code
It is better to specify the design code. For threadolet the design code are MSS SP 97 and ASME B16.11.
