304 vs 316 SS Pipe

The simple answer is their chemical makeup. SS304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel while SS316 contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel. And 2% molybdenum. Molybdenum contribute to better corrosion resistance to chlorides. At the appearance, they have not obvious differences. So we will provide you MTC (Material Test Certificate) to prove it actually is SS304 or SS316.
