A928 Welded Pipe

A928 CL3 /S31803 is a duplex stainless steel for EFW pipes. EFW pipe is electric fusion welding pipe, generally we call it welded pipes.

A928 EFW pipes have 5 class based on the welding method and whether radiographing.

• Class 1—Pipe shall be double welded by processes using filler metal in all passes and shall be radiographed completely.
•  2—Welded the same way as class 1 but no requirement for radiograph.
•  3—Single welding and radiographed completely.
•  4—The same as class 3, except that the weld pass exposed to the inside pipe surface is permitted to be made without the addition of filler metal.
• 5—Welded by processes using filler metal at double side and spot radiographed.

Quality Control of A928 Welded Pipe
