Check the appearance for dents, dents, stomata, undercut.
Dimensions
Measure the diameter, thickness and length of A53 ERW Pipe and make sure they are in tolerance.

A53 Gr B VS A106
Both as carbon steel, A106 B and A53 B are similar in chemical makeup and manufacture. But their differences are few but important.
- Welded and Seamless Pipes
A106 must be seamless pipe while A53 can be seamless or welded.
- Application
A53 ERW Pipe suits for transport of air, water, steam and oil in low and medium pressure applications. A106 pipe is commonly used for high temperature and high pressure service in power generation applications.
- Chemical Composition
Though their chemical makeup are very similar, but there are still some difference. The most noteworthy difference is the presence of silicon in A106 pipe but not exit in A53.
