ASTM A53 is a carbon steel alloy, used as structural steel or for low-pressure plumbing.

A53 steel pipe comes in three types and two grades, Type F, Type E and Type S, Grade A and Grade B. Type F and Type F suit for welded pipes, and Type S is for seamless pipes.

A53 Pipe is intended for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam, water, gas and air lines. It is an ideal material for pipes due to the great welding and forming properties.

What is Sand Blast?

Sand blasting refers to the process of propelling that abrasive media with compressed air. This cleaning and preparation procedure takes compressed air as a power source and directs a high-pressure stream of abrasive media toward the given surface.

Sand blast is a proven pre-finishing technique that’s been around for over a hundred years. It is steel the most common and preferred abrasive treatment method. It’s particularly suited to soft and sensitive materials being readied for final finishes. Sand blast is also a more economical equipment system to purchase, easier to operate and offers excellent quality to the consumer.

Pipe Length

Single Random Length (SRL): Pipes have any random size between 5-7 meters.

Double Random Length (DRL): Pipes have any random size between 11-13 meters.

Cut Length: Pipes are cut according to project specification.

Pipe End

Beveled Ends (BE): This is the most common pipe end type.

Plain End (BE): Plain end Sand  are generally for smaller diameters and require slip-on flanges and socket weld fittings. Plan ends are also common for stainless, duplex and nickel alloy pipes.

Threaded End (THD): Threaded End typically used on pipe 3″ and smaller. It can be internal or extenal thread.

Seamless Pipe

There are mainly two types of A53 steel pipes: welded pipe and seamless pipe. Seamless A53 pipe is the most common type. It is formed by forcing molten metal through a round die with a plug in the center to form a long tube of continuous metal which is then cut into appropriate.

Unlike welded pipe, seamless pipe is more uniform in consistency, its also withstand higher operating pressures and temperature, so it is commonly preferred for use in high pressure systems such as hydrocarbon, industries and refineries, oil and gas exploration and drilling, oil and gas transportation and so on.
