What is High Strength Low Alloy?

High-strength low-alloy steel is a type of alloy steel that provides better mechanical properties or greater resistance to corrosion than normal carbon steel. The amount of alloy content are usually less than 3%. One manufacture rule of HSLA steel is taking advantage of  less alloy elements to obtain higher comprehensive mechanical properties. What is ASTM A860?

ASTM A860 is the specification for Wrought High-Strength Ferritic Steel Butt-Welding Fittings. And could be seamless or electric fusion-welded construction covered by ASME B16.9 and MSS-SP-75. A860 WPHY 60 Fittings are used in high-pressure gas and oil transmission and distribution systems.
